How Now Roars 5 Furlongs In :57Vs at Hollywood Park HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 5. — How Now, a solid contender in Fridays Premiere Stakes at 6 furlongs, startled veteran dockers here this morning by blistering the track, 5 furlongs in :57%, as he obtained his last serious prep for his first stakes engagement of the summer season. True, the track was rapid and at its best this morning, but a work of this type was nevertheless a minor sensation. How Now went the distance handily and was full of run at the end. Linmold, a good three-year-old of last winter who encountered hard luck late in the season, went a handy 5 furlongs in :58%. His major objective this summer is the 00,000 added Hollywood Derby, but he will be seen earlier in stepping stone three-year-old stakes. The grass horse Aorangi also went 5 furlongs in: 58, handily, and while his best races at Santa Anita were on the greenery, he gave notice that he can handle the Hollywood Park dirt.
