JOUETT S. set the pace under pressure, relinquished the lead briefly to WORTH WAITIN in the early stretch, then came again to best that one in the drive and was in hand at the end. NEW DOOR was taken to the outside for the drive and was getting to the winner. WORTH WAITIN prompted the pace to the early stretch to a slight lead and faltered. MR. HARRISON was well placed and weakened. MERRELL L. F. saved ground to no avail MR. D. E. was never a factor. SATANS STAFF attempted to bear out along the backstretch. SANTURRON, under restraint until leaving the backstretch, moved around horses on the turn to take the lead and drew out. GAY DICTATION could not stay with the winner while rallying but was best of the others. POKEY T. made the early pace and weakened when headed. KOKO D0Z0 prompted the early pace and faltered. SWIFT JOHN was never a factor. MIDSHIPMAN rallied mildly on the turn and hung. INTUITIVE was through early. FAIRLAWN ROCKY, forwardly placed along the outside, was sent up to challenge in the stretch, wore down FT. DODGE and lasted over CHALVEDELE while drifting out slightly. The latter came wide into the stretch and was gradually weating down the winner. A claim of foul by the rider of CHALVEDELE against the rider of FAIRLAWN ROCKY for alleged interference in the drive was not allowed FT. DODGE set the early pace, opened a long lead on the turn and faltered. MAYBE BEST rallied in the early stretch and hung. INTRUSTING, in hand early, closed willingly when called upon ANDALE was through early PIO dropped back shortly after the start. The latter reached the runner-up spot in the early stretch and was easily best of the others. MELPET, JR. duelled with REMUS for the early lead, disposed of that one after three-eighths and had nothing left when challenged. JERIEL was never a factor. REMUS was through after three furlongs.
