Cantelo Is Victorious In Cheshire Oaks Event Special to Daily Racing Form CHESTER, Cheshire, England, May 5.— Reuters. — Cantelo, second favorite for the Oaks at Epsom Downs on June 5, raced to a six lengths victory today in the Cheshire Oaks here at one mile, 4 furlongs and 53 yards. Cantelo, who is owned by London bookmaker William Hill, was ridden by Eddie Hide and started at 2 to 1 as co-favorite. Anthelion, 9 to 2 choice, ran second with Seascape, the other favorite, a poor third in a field of seven starters. Cantelo, by Chanteur II. out of Rustic Bridge, is trained by Captain l Charles Elsey at Malton, Yorkshire.
