HATFIELD, away slowly, moved up with a rush in. the opening quarter, swerved over on WIND SONG while improving his position in the stretch and just reached the front at the end. ODERIC forced tha pace under good urging, drew away after disposing of WIND SONG and appeared to have lasted. LITTLE HEEL, a strong .factor from the beginning, tired in the last stages. PROUD PRINCESS showed a 4ood effort WIND SONG, used up setting the pace, was shuffled back when tiring in .the stretch.
