STREAMLINER went to the front C2 early and well rated while making the pace, withstood several mild challenges to win under hand riding. OAK q RIVER made a resolute attempt in the last quarter and, while outfinishing THE PHOENIX, was unable to u. seriously threaten the winner. THE PHOENIX was also rated early and responded fairly well when called upon, but was not good enough. HEDGEWOOD dropped back to last place after breaking fairly well, then tired b~ when it came to an issue. BOSTON HERO had some early speed. W00DSIDE was well rated for six furlongs, then moved to a short lead, and shaking off LADY SERENATA in the stretch, won easily. The latter was never too far removed and came readily when called upon but was not good enough. COUSIN CLARA raced away from the field in the first furlong and was hustled along but had little left at the end. C0QUINET made up some ground. SKYOLATER tired and bore out badly in the stretch. The others were outrun. Overweight— Lady Serenata, 3 pounds; Cousin Clara, 4; Battle Cloud, 1J. Attendance, 14,168; Total Mutuel Pool, ,099,996.
