Illinois Notes FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., June 25. Owner-trainer W. C. Weant checked in from Chicago, with the two fillies Dixie Mae and Mary H. The latter won six out of her 10 starts last year and holds a track record at Sportsmans Park. Bennett Creech, veteran horseman, arrived from Chicago with the four horses Kosadus, Grey Mike, Tonys Trouble and Barshoe. The horses race in the interest of Mrs. A. M. Creech. Harold Wulf, St. Louis businessman, was on hand Wednesday night to view the thoroughbred sport. Clocker Jack Ryan, of Chicago, will return to his home after the current meeting, to take over his duties as clocker at the Sportsmans Park trotting meeting. Ryan will return to the local plant as timer during the late summer meeting. Don Wolf arrived from Detroit to take over his assistant starter duties. The vacancy occurred when C. H. McMillan departed for Centennial to take over the starters chores at the mile high track. McMillan has been replaced by the popular Matt Anderson.
