Atkinson Resting Comfortably WESTBURY, L. I., N. Y., Aug. 22. Jockey Ted Atkinson was resting comfortably at his Long Island home today after suffering a back injury at Saratoga last Wednesday, and hoped to resume riding within a month. He was injured when thrown from his mount during the post parade, and X-rays showed a possible fracture of three vertebrae. Dr. Alexander Kaye, Jockeys Guild physician, has prescribed complete rest, but Atkinson has been able to leave his bed and move around for short periods.
