LAT0NIA TURF NOTES S Jockey C. Compton was suspended for ten days by the stewards for rough riding in the third race "Wednesday. Compton, who had the mount on Golden Pigeon in the race in question, had been previously warned by the stewards for this same offense. Jockey C. Beasy was the third Latonia rider to draw a suspension Wednesday. The stewards set Beasy down for five days when he came over too sharply with Manners Man at the start of the fifth race. Starter William Hamilton handed out his first suspension of the meeting Wednesday, when he set down jockey Leslie Pichon five days. Pichon was aboard Novette, a starter in the third race, when he incurred the starters displeasure. Noah H. McClelland, popular Kentucky racing official, came over from his home in Lexington and will remain for a few days. McClelland will serve as clerk of the scales and placing .judge at the impending Dade Park meeting. Jockey Johnny Long, who came here to ride in the Latonia Derby, changed his plans about going to Bainbridge and will stay here for the remainder of the meeting.
