L0NGACRES BARNS FILLING UP Five Hundred Horses Expected to Be on Grounds in Few Days Meeting Opens June 14. SEATTLE, Wash., June 6. Five hundred horses will be in Longacres barns vithin the next few days and approximately 600 thoroughbreds will be registered by racing secretary and handicapper Webb A. Everett before the summer meeting gets under way here June 14. " Tom Smith, one of Californias leading trainers during the past winter and spring seasons, has one of the crack stables under his charge, including the horses owned by C. B. Irwin, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and two of his own. Mrs. Irwins string includes such well-known racers as. Gerard, Instigator, Notify, jane Packard and MesS Wagon. Smith has Oriley and Alsisto, which he, owns himself. Rex Buck, one of the leading western horsemen, has a string of thirteen thoroughbreds here. Bucks horses are expected to cut quite a swath this summer with Mr. Bun, Principality, Princess A. A. and Speedy Al all figured as topnotchers. Al Jolson, General Bank, Wittora, Sister Noah, Captain Gilbert, Brimsey, Butterfield, Mr. Haney and Chatter On are also in the string.
