COLD AND RAIN AT OMAHA Attendance Lowest of Current Meet- . ing at Ak-Sar-Ben Track Northgalis Wins. OMAHA, Neb., June 6. Rain and cold weather today kept down the attendance to the lowest figure of the current meeting at Ak-Sar-Ben. The program was made up of seven claiming events; four of them were sprint contests, with the remaining races over a distance of ground. Five platers started in the race that occupied the feature position on the program at one mile and a sixteenth. Under a well judged, ride from apprentice A. Gray, W. Kidds five-year-old gelding, Northgalis,- waj3 the winner of the mile and a sixteenth contest, arriving at the finish line with a length to spare over Dark Mist, while Vin Noir got up in time to earn third. Northgalis was rated close to the pace set by Dark Mist until the field straightened out in the stretchy and the. son of Sir Gallahad III. responded quickly to mild urging to overhaul the early pacemaker and draw away. ; Backers of the favorites had little success over the slow, drying-out track that prevailed. -
