SALLY FULLER SCORES AGAIN Kings Plate Winner Defeats Chick-pen in Featured Purse. -- Sparkling Finish Marks Contest and Lind-bergs Riding Plays Important Part In Success of Seagram Filly. TORONTO Ont., June 6. The silks of Edward F. Seagram were carried to victory in the best offering furnished for the second day of the Long Branch Jockey Club meeting here today "when Sally Fuller, winner of the Kings Plate, proved her mettle to turn back seven other three-year-olds in the fourth and featured Lake Shore Purse, a dash of six furlongs that attracted the best of that age. Ridden by H. Lindberg, contract rider for the Waterloo establishment, Sally Fuller, under a rousing finish, defeated Ghickpen from the H. C. Hatch barn by a half length, while third fell to the lot of the Parkwood Stables Listaro when he took the measure of his stable companion, Vingt Cinq, with Worthing, Gay Sympathy, Asperge and Dainty Rose com pleting the field. At the end of the journey the first four came to the finish mark abreast of each other and with a few more strides to take a different order might have resulted. It was recalled that Sally Fuller and Chickpen finished in the same order in the running of the historic Kings Plate, that had its renewal at Woodbine Park just a couple of weeks ago. In the Lake. Shore starter Clark experienced some difficulty in aligning the eight starters, but the start was a good one with Chickpen and Worthing going away on even terms to supply the pace. Lindberg, by clever jockeying,, sent Sally Fuller up on the inside to join the pair vhile Vingt Cinq held to fourth position closely followed by his running mate, Listaro. Slipping through on the inside midway of the elbow Sally Fuller after a brief rush accepted the command, then under Lindbergs fine finish managed to reach the end doing her utmost to withstand Chickpen. . Listaro was a head back of the Hatch miss, while Listaro on the outside was beaten a like distance and just a head before Vingt Cinq. Unsettled overhead conditions and a track that was several seconds off failed to detract from the sport that was furnished. Favorites performed creditably and several thrilling finishes kept the spectators enthused.
