DON CARLOS, rated in close attendance of the pace, came through on the inside entering the stretch and, reaching the lead tin the last strides, had to bo hard urged to hold SHORT WAVE safe. The latter sprinted into command at pnee, gave way in the stretch, but came again in the last, few strides under strong handling. WEE TODDLER II. raced on the outside all the way, dropped back entering the stretch and outlasted BLACK MICHAEL in the drive. The latter, outrun early, closed a big gap in the last eighth. FORCEFUL sprinted into command at once, was rated along in the lead, bore over entering the stretch, carrying THUNDERDROP out, closed willingly and outlasted the latter. THUNDERDROP, away slowly from the outside, was rushed to the leaders, disposed of SISTER CLARE, closed fast, but his rider was of little help when his saddle slipped in the final few strides. SISTER CLARE forced the pace from the start and tired when put to a drive in the stretch. GIFT O GAB, a trailer early, closed with a rush in the last quarter. BLONDE VENUS raced evenly. SEXTON quit. The latter made up ground in the last quarter. TROPICAL MOON closed fast from a slow beginning. WEDGE LASS tired. CONGRESSMAN B. raced greenly. The latter saved ground all the way and held on well, though tiring badly. MISS CUD closed a big gap in the stretch run. FLEUR SAUVAGE quit badly. DIMARK was away slowly.
