HIGHER CLOUD, forced to race wide much of the trip and a strong factor from the start, swerved to the inside in the final eighth and came again when straightened. SANDY BOY showed a good effort SIR GAWAINE was under strong pressure from the start, lost ground and tired m the last three-sixteenths CRINOLINE saved much ground. HOMER L., slow to get going and on the inside early, came to the extreme outside in the stretch and, closing with a rush, was up in the final strides. L. B. WILSON, under steadying restraint for half mile, slowly wore down WEELUKIE and, holding on gamely, barely failed to last. WEELUKIE had the most speed from the start, saved ground after the first three-sixteenths, but slowly gave way in the drive. FRITTER CIRCLE went evenly. DARK HAZARD made a mild bid on the stretch turn. WELL HEELED tired badly. PRINTEMPS showed nothing. OUR SIS bore out badly on the stretch turn. KAPENA, a strong factor from the start and also restrained in the early stages, held the lead briefly on the turn, but was no match for the winner, yet stood a long drive gamely. KOZAK, badly outrun for five-eighths, came with a rush on the outside thereafter. ULUNIU began fast, dropped back suddenly after reaching the turn and raced wide in the stretch. HALF DAY had no mishaps.. LEE LAFFOON failed to keep up. MR. PRESIDENT stumbled at the start. RICKEY ROO had speed from the start, saved ground after the , first quarter, was under pressure after reaching the stretch and suffered but slightly through the winners swerving. PROPOSING finished with a rush. HAROLD WILEY had no excuses. MONKS SHAWL was outrun. FREEMAN, showed poor form in the going. MAGENTA quit badly after showing speed to the stretch.
