T FOREIGN TURF NOTES 2- A snow storm Derby was recalled by the interference at Haydock Park Friday, May 17, because of a considerable snowfall necessitating the postponement of the days racing. The Derby that was run in a snow storm was the race won by Bloomsbury in 1839. , , Henris Choice, the horse which broke his neck in the Liverpool hurdle race last March, has made a remarkable recovery and will race again. The surgeons performed a wonderful piece of work and after, a long rest during the summer the horse will be trained again for steeplechasing next winter. Fire on May 20 severely damaged The Jockey Club rooms at Newmarket. The whole of the old building was badly damaged, but the new one only suffered a little. Although the valuable records were, saved, a number of pictures were lost. However, all the paintings of Derby winners were undamaged. Steve Donoghue, probably the best known jockey in the world, had a busy week-end May 18, 19 and, 20. After riding at Gatwick Saturday, May 18, he left for Belgium.
