YETIVE raced truly and forwardly from the start, responded to pressure in the final eighth and held MANDAS BABY safe in the final drive. The latter moved up with good courage when called upon, made a determined bid inside the final eighth, but hung at the finish. MALIGN improved her position steadily on the outside and was gaining on the leaders in the final drive. WHITE SAND made a determined bid after going a half mile, raced on even terms with the leaders, but hung at the finish. HARRYS DREAM was gaining fast on the inside when bothered by THE WINK and was forced to take up. THE WINK was placed under severe pressure a quarter of a mile from the finish and swerved to the inside. ALAHAD showed a good, effort. FIRING finished well. RIDIAN moved up with a rush after going the first turn of the field,- followed, the pace under steadv restraint, saved ground turning for home, drew away when TRIFOLIUM stumbled, but was tiring at the end. SNAKE CHARMER, under snug restraint in the early running, was bothered by. the riderless APPIAN WAY, but- finished, with determination when clear. TRIFOLIUM was rushed into command after the start, jumped well and showed speed on the flat, bore out- going .to the sixteenth fence, made a bad landing and almost fell,, then recovered and finished well. VAUXTOI was outrun in the early stages, responded to pressure, in the final eighth and closed well. STIR made a bad landing at the seventh fence, recovered quickly and raced-well, thereafter. AXACAN showed an even effort all the way. SYRIAC faltered under pressure. BRIAR BLUE had no mishaps. SAUGHTON BOY fell at the fourteenth fence and APPIAN WAY fell at the eighth fence. JAIR raced forwardly all the way, was placed under pressure in the stretch run and finished resolutely. CLOCKS broke well but dropped, back, moved up on the outside entering the stretch and, outlasted BLACK GROUSE in the final strides. The latter, a trailer in the early running, came through oa the inside entering the stretch and made up ground steadily. MARCHING" HOME had. early speed, but faltered badly in the stretch run. CORUNDUM was taken under restraint after the break, worked his way up steadily on the inside, was blocked rounding the far turn, came to the outside when straightened out in the stretch and finished gamely in the drive. ISOLATER moved into command after the start, was rated along under steady restraint, saved ground throughout and held on with good courage to the finish. MEMORY BOOK dropped back after going a half mile responded slowly, to pressure, but could not: menace the leaders through, the stretch. He was worked an extra eighth. CQUNX MORSE, a forward factor in the early running,, wan placed under urging in the stretch, but faltered badly and was not, persevered with at the end. SIXTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. ARGUEFICATION began slowly. NIGHT RAVEN raced well. BRAVADO was shuffled back after the break. BEHIND ME was away slowly. AGAIN quit.
