I AGAWAM TURF NOTES : $ A. B. Cox, captain of the Springfield Indians Hockey team, made his first appearance of the season, managing to hold his own with the "tote" machines. Radio Station WMAS of Springfield, which broadcast the running description of Fridays races from Agawam Park, is planning to follow up the broadcast with similar programs throughout the entire meeting. Racing secretary Edward C. Brennan received a wire from William Elder of Baltimore, stating that he was due to arrive at Agawam Park late Tuesday with six horses. Jockeys C. P. Jackson, R. Booker and J. Hatton checked in with Jess Dale, custodian of the jockeys quarters. Jess Bennett, an attache around the jockeys quarters on the various Maryland tracks, arrived from Hagerstown.
