MURPH IN AT 126 POUNDS Assigned Top Weight for Hawthorne Juvenile Handicap, to Be Run at Hawthorne Saturday. Mrs. Ethel V. Mars Murph, winner of the Bashford Manor for her Milky Way Farms Stable, has been assigned top weight of 126 pounds for the Hawthorne Juvenile Handicap. Racing secretary Julius Reeder rated Murph four pounds over another Milky Way Farms entry Dogaway. At 119 pounds come a" group of five others, including the Milky ; Ways Reaping Reward, Bomar Stables Yellow Tulip and Little Shaver, Millsdale Stables Grey Count and Earl Harrills Whis-cenda. Petrose gets in lightest of the twenty-nine eligibles, carrying but 109 pounds. The handicap will be run at five and one-half furlongs for a ,000 added purse next Saturday. The strong Milky Way contingent was out for sharp trials Tuesday morning, with Murph leading the way with five furlongs in 1:01, breezing. Dogaway went the same distance breezing in one-fifth of a second slower time. Murph was at the quarter in :23, and the half in :48 over the sloppy track. Reaping Reward was sent six furlongs in 1:16, handily, and trainer McGar-vey was satisfied with all three moves. Word was received by trainer Johnny Kermath of tha Bomar Stable that Yellow Tulip would come here from Detroit tomorrow. Yellow Tulip has started three times and has won his last two starts. Jockey J. Bryson will come here to ride him in the Juvenile Handicap. Little Shaver, the other Bomar candidate, is already here.
