f THORNCLIFFE PARK NOTES T 4 : and John Bosley, Jr., will ship a draft of the H. R. Bain jumpers to Aqueduct after the close of the Thorncliffe Park meeting:. Jockey D. Brammer cancelled his riding engagements Tuesday owing to illness. He hopes to resume saddle duty again Wednesday. Thomas Hare and P. E. Callen, officials of the Long Branch Jockey Club, were visitors for the opening Tuesday. At the conclusion of the Thorncliffe Park meeting, George Alexandra will ship the main division of the J. E. Smallman stable to Detroit to finish out the meeting at that point. There are twenty seven horses in the stable of the London sportsman at present. The condition books for the Hamilton Jockey Club meeting that were compiled by John P. Turner, Sr., were brought to Toronto from the printers at Hamilton by. P. L. Ciceri and they were circulated among the horsemen here Tuesday. L. Ronald, who recently acquired the plater Romarch from the Parkwood Stable, disposed of the three-year-old to F. Hammer for a private consideration. Ronald will continue to be trainer. The. apprentice allowance on Troubanoya, a starter in the sixth race Tuesday, was waived, with permission of the stewards, and the mare picked up five pounds, to make her weight 110 pounds for her engagement. Immigration inspectors from the Canadian Immigration Department at Ottawa were in attendance at Thorncliffe Park Tuesday morning checking on the list of riders scheduled to ride during the present meeting. C. Zoeller, agent for the H. C. Hatch stable, reports that the good handicap performer Ariel Cross is mending rapidly from injuries suffered at the start of the Hawthorne Handicap. S. B. Crawford has been selected from the ranks of horsemen to serve as representative for that body as steward for the second day at Thorncliffe Park,
