PERLETTES CLIPSETTA WORK LATONIA, Ky., June 2 Between the running of the third and fourth race this afternoon, J. W. Parrishs Perlette was given a speed test over the five and a half furlongs route of the Clipsetta Stakes, for which the daughter of Percentage and Es-carpqlette is being prepared. It was the most impressive trial displayed by any of the candidates for the Saturday feature, the filly going the opening quarter in :22, half mile in :47, five-eighths in 1:00, and the five and a half furlongs in 1:07. Breaking from the five and a half furlongs pole after being galloped once around the course, Perlette exhibited a brand of speed that is likely to attract some support in the fifty-fourth running of the Clipsetta.
