The latter, sent into a good lead in the first quarter mile,, saved ground all the way, came on again after being headed by the winner and just failed, to get up. ROYAL JULIAN, far back early, worked his wav up gradually and. was goine: fastest at the end. JODHPUR raced evenly. DISCOBOLUS quit badly. PRINCE BALLOT lacked early speed, finished gamely and got up in the last stride for the show. BUGABOO, knocked back at the first turn, was rushed into contention on the outside and tired in the final drive. BABOO crossed over sharply at the first turn, drew away into a good lead, but tired badly at the end. WEST STAR was pinched back at the first turn when BABOO crossed over. SEVENTH RACE 3-4 MILE.
