Won easily; second and third driving. ROMARCH moved into a long lead when reaching the stretch, was kept under steady pressure and drew out in the late stages. HIGH BID obtained racing room on the inside until reaching the stretch, came to the outside in the closing eighth and finished determinedly. SHADOW WALTZ was hustled between horses in the back stretch to reach a forward postion and held on well in the final drive. BONNIE SIGHT raced closest to the winner for the first five-eighths, but tired in the last eighth. CHALGO, interfered with and knocked back directly after the start, closed resolutely when in full stride. PLAYFUL BOSTON raced forwardly until reaching the stretch, then tired badly. KINDA SMALL showed a flash of early speed. LOSSIEMOUTH lost her rider soon after the start when JACK BELL wheeled in front of her and CHALGO. ASPERGE, away fast and taken under slight restraint when GOLD FLAKE was rushed into the lead, followed close up until straightened into the stretch, disposed of the pacemaker without effort and drew out readily at the end. MAPLE TINTS raced in a forward position early and came courageously when roused vigorously during the stretch run. SEA KALE, far out of contention and trailing until reaching the stretch, Finished with a belated rush on the outside. PEPPER PRINCE passed tiring horses noaring the end. CRYSTAL BEACH raced prominently and held on well. FREESTONE was racing gamely after suffering early interference. GOLD FLAKE had much speed for five-eighths, then tired. THE CORNER was racing in the middle of the field midwav of the stretch when his saddle slipned. causing his rider to fall. SUGAR JAR, on the inside of CIRCULET in the first quarter mile, took command when leaving the back stretch, responded gamely to punishment, when challenged and had enough in reserve to withstand CANDY FEAST. The latter bettered her position steadily and was catching the winner slowly at the close. ARDAWN raced forwardly all the way, but was tiring during the last eighth. PEWTER CREST closed gamely after being slow to settle into her stride. EILEEN D. lost ground all the way. CUDGELDRU was never dangerous. FIRE REEL showed early speed. CIRCULET quit. PRIMBUD suffered a cut on his shoulder while at the post and was pulled up after the First quarter mile. TOE DANCE, in closest pursuit of VANISHED, took an easy lead when the pacemaker ran out when reaching the turn, opened up a clear lead midway of the stretch, but tired fast nearing the finish. TRAJECTORY, slower than usual to get into his best stride, circled his field and finished full of run. CONTRIBUTE went forwardly in the early stages and came gamely after moving up strongly entering the stretch. BROADCASTER followed in the first flight, but was not good enough when put to strong pressure. HANNAH ANNE showed a good effort and finished on her own courage. VANISHED sprinted into an early lead, but ran out badly in the last five-sixteenths and would not extend herself when placed to punishment. DISCOUNT broke from the outside, but showed a dull effort. STACK ARMS, rated back of the leaders for the first three-quarters, closed courageously, but could not menace the winner. OSIRIAN, unable to hold a contending position early, came through on the inside in the last Five-sixteenths and finished gamely. FAR AND FAST, in hand for the first three-quarters, flattened out badly when put to a drive. CRINOLINE lacked speed and raced in dull fashion. SKY WARRIOR was never a factor. SWIFTLET, going in his best form, moved into a forward position rapidly after being straightened into the back stretch, disposed of DREAM KISS without effort when nearing the stretch, then drew out as if much the best. ARMY GAME, kept within striking distance of the leaders, responded gamely to punishment in the late stages, but could not reach the winner. DREAM KISS was steadied in front while setting the early pace, but failed to rally when put to a drive. BILL KENNEDY raced in the first flight throughout and had no excuse. CHAT EAGLE was unable to threaten seriously at any stage. DODIODO could not enter contention. HEY KELLY was used up getting to the front and quit badly after three-quarters GRAND VIEW quit. BEECHVIEW, showing considerable improvement, took an easy lead going to the first turn, was steadied along until reaching the stretch, was shaken up thereafter and drew out smartly. ATTIC BIRD followed in closest pursuit of the winner from the beginning, but failed to threaten when the real issue came. RURAL SHOWER raced closer up than usual and then held on with good courage. SALVUS raced forwardly placed, but failed to challenge serious when shaken up. BETHANKFUL was badly messed about going to the first turn and closed a big gap after circling his field and may have been a closer contender with better handling. RIVER CREST had no mishaps. ROSESILLA raced in dull fashion. GRANITE ROCK passed tiring horses. Scratched 27565 Smiling Star, 98 ; 26962 Finesse, 107.
