DETROIT, Mich., June 16 The Detroit meeting, which is showing a 30 per cent increase over any year since the revival of racing here, is moving on to a brilliant climax, with two of its most attractive stakes on the schedule for next Saturday and the following Saturday. With Planetoid, J. T. Taylors speedy filly, and two of the Charles T. The arrangements are in charge of state racing commissioner Joseph D. Fiost, who is a member of the Shrine. The Pontchartrain Handicap, at a mile and a sixteenth, with ,000 added, to be run Saturday, June 27, also promises to produce a brilliant contest. With Whopper, Azucar and Stand Pat already on the grounds, the nucleus of a great contest is in sight. Marynell returned from Latonia today and with other useful horses of minor class on the grounds a good field is promised.
