ROXANA S. moved up fast after five-sixteenths, responded to stronger urging in the stretch, was bumped by THE POINT in the last stages, but outgamed him at the end. The latter rushed into the lead early, was unable to draw clear, gave way to the winner nearing the final eighth and swerved repeatedly during the final eighth. SHERATAN, away slowly, worked his way forward steadily, was sent to the outside for tha drive and closed with a rush. ROSY DOON improved his position fast after a half mile and held on well. BARBARA LEE raced evenly. MASKED CLOWN was never a factor. GAY BANNER quit. LITTLE TEGGY showed speed. STEP IN TIME bled after pulling up. MISS MOROCCO was outrun and came back sore.
