MISS NICO, slow to find her best stride, made up ground gradually taking command at the stretch turn and was going away at the end. RELIANT, breaking from the outside in the best footing, took a brief lead at once, but was no match for the winner. OFF AND ON, breaking slowly, moved up with a rush on the inside at the far turn, only to weaken in the stretch. MOCK MODESTY, very fractious at the gate, ran greenly in spots. STOCK MARKET, dropping back to last place, moved up very fast on the outside, closed gamely in the middle of the track and got up in the final strides. SUN ALLEY forced the pace throughout and finished gamely. TRAMWAY had trouble finding racing room, then closed very fast in the stretch when clear. HOOSIC MAID showed a good effort, but quit at the end; BLANDISHMENT, prominent to the stretch, tired at the end. VINCE FARLEY, in close quarters, was forced to take back, then closed stoutly. REAL JAM lost ground steadilv after delaying the start some time. IRISH HERO, prominent to the stretch, dropped back only to come again at the end. BEAU FRERE, following in close attendance of the pace, quit at the end. ROYAL BIRD displayed good form to the stretch, then quit badly in the last eighth. SWIFT QUEEN could not threaten at any time. The others could not keep up. LADY PAL displayed good speed the first quarter, then dropped back to ome again at the end. ROYAL WAGER dwelt at the start, closed an immense gap and was going gamely at the finish. CINAR moved up fast on the far turn and was going fastest of all at the end. MIELETTA, prominent to the stretch, finished going gamely. SALLANDRY was going gamely when too late. MAD DASH lost ground steadily. TOP SHELL, away slowly, improved its position to the stretch, then quit. Overweight Micletta, 24 pounds; Sallandry, 1; Top Shell, 24. SIXTH RACE 1 MILE AND 70 YARDS. ANNARITA assumed the lead at the first turn, was taken back off the pace while given a breather at the far turn, and came again to easy draw out through the last eighth. BULLFINCH, close up at all times, gained steadily through the final quarter to outstay SWEET MOLLIE. The latter responded gamely when called upon, but hung in the last few yards. PRECIOUS KING, far back for three-quarters, was forced to race on the outside to secure clear passage and finished with a belated rush.
