1 LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES Jockey C. McDonald, who rode Learoyd in the sixth race Saturday, was fined 0 by the stewards and warned for striking his mount across the head with his whip and for permitting his mount to interfere with Law Suit going to the first turn. Little hope is held out for the recovery of Khaki John, a member of the Erindale Stable, which performed in the second race on Saturday and which broke down badly in the running of the race. The six-year- old son of First Sight was examined by vet-1 erinarians after returning to his quarters I and was discovered to be in a hopeless condition for further racing. Acting for Joseph Cattarinich, trainer Walter Richey disposed of the brood mare Miss Hogan, in foal to Brother Joe, to Harry j Giddings. Richey has five more mares, all in foal to Brother Joe, which will be placed on the market.
