SKY GLARE, easily best, broke fast but was outrun by PROOF for the first three-eighths, gained command in the stretch and, drawing away, won with speed to spare. DONNACONA KID lacked early speed, gained gradually in the stretch and finished gamely. PROOF showed good early speed, but tired as if short. RED BROOK raced wide all the way. HIGH FIDELITY raced greenly, but showed speed in spots. CLOUD SERGEANT raced well for a half mile. THAT WINS raced wide all the way. Overweight Sky Glare, 2 pounds; Proof, 1; Quiballen, 1. PRINCE .WESTEND, far back early, closed with a rush on the outside in the stretch and wore down CRYSTAL FLYER in the last few strides. CRYSTAL FLYER, well placed in the early running, slipped through on the inside oh the lower turn, took the lead in the stretch and, while holding on well, could not withstand the winner. YAUPON, close up all the way, held on well in the drive. FOXY QUILLER showed early speed in the pacemaking, but tired badly in the last eighth. MARMULUS tired badly. LADY BRYAN saved ground on the lower turn, but tired in the last eighth. LOCKET showed a good effort. NELL SNELLING showed speed for a half mile, but tired badly in the final eighth. LUCKY DAN, outrun early, saved ground entering the stretch and was going gamely at the end. KRAKERJAC broke well, dropped back in the back stretch, came again in the final eighth and was going well at the end.
