THIRTY-NINE ARE NOMINATED Srack Array of Fast Sprinters Named for, Arlington Inaugural Handicap, on Monday, June 29. Thirty-nine crack members of the eastern and " western sprinter divisions nave been nominated for the seventh running of the i ,50.0 Arlington Inaugural Handicap, the seven; furlongs feature of the opening day card, which will launch the thirty-day meeting at Arlington Park Monday, June 29. Roman Soldier, star of the early ifew England, campaign, which finished third, in the Rockingham Handicap under a. killing impost of 133 pounds last Saturday, has been named by Elwood Sachsenmaier, while Hal Price Headley has nominated his thoroughbred -giant, Whopper, and the improving Preeminent. Nellie Flag, filly star of the three-year-olds -in -1935, Calumet Dick and Pharosay will be eligible to bear the silks of Warren WrightJs popular Calumet Stud. From California has come Norman W. Churchs Arlington Futurity winner of 1934, Torb. Nancy. The f ormidable Milky Way Farm Stable of Mrs Ethel V. Mars has entered its 1936 Texas Derby hero, The Fighter, and its eight-year-old sprinter, Whiskolo. Mis. John D. Hertz is represented on the Inaugural list by Count Arthur, a fast four-year-old son of Fveigh Count and Abbatissa. If ten start, as in the 1935 renewal, won by Some Pomp, Arlingtons opening day stake will gross ,890 and will net the winner ,900.
