MAKES AUSPICIOUS DEBUT Sky Glare Graduates From Maiden Ranks in First Appearance Under Colors Ladies Day. KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 19. Sky Glare, making his first start of his career, was an easy winner of the first race, when he led home a field of twelve two-year-old maidens that went postward. Six lengths back of the winner came Mrs. C. E. Mickens Don-nacona Kid, with the Jones Stock Farms Proof finishing third. From a good start, Sky Glare was the first to show in front but was quickly outrun by Proof, and this pair soon drew away from the others. In the stretch, Sky Glare had moved into the lead and increased it steadily until at the end he was six lengths in the clear of the fast-finishing Donnacona Kid, w which came with good speed to take second place from the tiring Proof. The winner was backed with rare confidence in the mutuels and paid off at even money. The time, :54. was only one-fifth of a second behind the track record for that distance. The hottest day ever in the history of Kansas City failed to keep down the attendance at Riverside Park, and another large crowd turned out to witness an excellent program of, eight races. It was again Ladies Day, and large numbers of the fair sex turned out as guests of the management,
