I LINCOLN FIELDS TURF NOTES I S ; Mrs. E. E. Keller claimed Maddest and the Eskay Stable took Honest Susan out of the seventh race at Lincoln Fields, Tuesday. The price in each transaction was ,250. Elmo Pulliam, under engagement to C. L. Croan, had his first mount of the meeting when he rode Fort Estill in the second race Thursday afternoon. Making his bow to racing Thursday afternoon, James Clive White rode Rose Thatcher in the third event. White, 18 years old, hails from Detroit and is under contract to the Maple Leaf Stable. He can scale 100 pounds. Jockey Charles Landolt, a recent arrival from Houston, got into action with several mounts Thursday. Jockey Leonard Wilson cancelled his only two mounts and departed for Collinsville, 111., where his mother-in-law died Thursday morning. H. H. Battle, trainer of the horses owned by the F. L. B. Stable and other patrons, has reconsidered plans to ship to River Downs and will continue to race the string at Lincoln Fields. Jockey George South, under engagement to the stable, also will remain. Glen Gotbet. trainer of the horses owned by Gorbet and Irvin, was a visitor here Thursday. His horses, Vishnu, Longus, Cassada and Jack Murphy, were vanned from Beulah Park to Akron in charge of Harry Smith. Jack Hanover, trainer of the J. H. Mann-heimer string, plans to open a public stable for winter racing. The Manheimer horses are to be turned out at the conclusion of the local meeting near Barrington. 111. Mrs. T. Marshall purchased the two-year-old Palan from the Valdina Farm in a private transaction at Lincoln Fields, Thursday. Countess Bye, Premeditate, Wild Count, Roquill, Spoof and Als Son were the horses which W. J. Curran brought here from Detroit for Harry Herendeen. Mrs, C. C. Millers Charwitch, Campo, Roguish Ways and Roguish John were vanned to Hawthorne to await the opening of the Sportsmans Park meeting. Roguish John was purchased recently from J. J. Coughlin at private terms. A. Lamoureaux brought four horses to Lincoln Fields from Detroit for Mrs. C. C. Winters. Included were Witson, Anna V. L., Thistle Jock and Odd Blue. G. R. Allen arrived here Thursday from Beulah Park with Jerry, a three-year-old gelding which races in the interests of his wife.
