TAPPANAUGH, under strong handling from the start, saved ground entering the stretch, dropped back slightly approaching the final eighth, but came again in the last stages. RIFF, away slowly and outrun for three-eighths, moved up fast in the stretch, but tired. TIMOROUS failed to improve its position under urging. EALCONA raced wide. THUNDER LOU. a strong factor from the start; swung wide entering the stretch and tired. PETER PUMPKIN began very slowly and held on well. GAMALIEL had no mishaps. WOWO sprinted into a long lead early, increased its advantage after five-sixteenths, tired rapidly in the drive, but withstood JAY BEE JAY. The latter, slightly impeded at the start and outrun for a half mile, was sent to the outside in the stretch and finished strongly. MONON LAD, away fastest but unable to keep up, moved up fast after reaching the stretch and held on well. TRAUW1NA worked her way forward on the inside and was steered to the outside of the leaders in the final sixteenth and finished well. MACAWLEE tired. BABY JOE had no mishaps. BLACK ARROW bore out at the start and forced LADY DEDLOCK over on JAY BEE JAY. LADY DEDLOCK was always far back. Overweight Macawlee, 1 pound. FOURTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. PRINCE FELLOW, awav slowest of all, moved up "fast on the inside, saved ground throughout and held ra gamely. REMINISCENT, outrun for a half mile, closed with a rush.
