ZANGWIIX disposed of MAETICO early, drew out into a safe lead, continued along in command under restraint and had much in reserve at the end. DENCLAIRE, always well placed, was in hand until "1e"nS the stretch, continued well when placed to punishment, but was no match for the winner. CAMP CRAIG, sluggish in the early racing, gradually bettered his position after a half mile and finished with good speed. GINGERY, slow to Find his speed, moved into contention on the inside on the final turn, but tired badly. MAETICO flashed some speed, but quit. The others were outrun. OUR TROUBLE, sluggish in the early racing, gradually bettered his position after a half mile, came to the oufide through the stretch and gradually wore MINDREADER down. MINDREADER, waited with behind the pace of WILLOW WAND until straightened into the stretch, took command within the final sixteenth, but could not withstand the bid of the winner. WILLOW WAND had good speed to set the pace, saved ground throughout, but tired badly at the end. AFLURRY, allowed to drop far out of the early racing, finished fast. SKY WARRIOR quit. VICEREINE had good speed to take command early, was rated in front throughout, drew clear, under mild urging in the stretch, but was kept under mild pressure to the finish. ALLONS forced the pace of the winner at all times, made a strong bid through the stretch, but was not good enough. LINGSTER was unable to keep up in the early stages but finished fast. MOORES GIFT, in a contending position for a half mile, tired at the end. MEDONTE could never enter contention. CUVANNA quit. Overweight Medonte, 2 pounds; Cuvanna, 14; Limberlost, 1. LADY.MLCIl assumed a short lead entering the back stretch, was rated in front thereafter, shook off bids from SILENT SEA and HITTIE on the final turn and held GAY SYMPATHY safe in the drive. The latter gradually bettered her position, secured racing room on the inside entering the stretch and finished gamely, but was not good enough. HITTIE, always in a contending position, challenged stoutly In the stretch and hung on well. DAINTY ROSE, far out of it as usual in the early stages, finished with good speed. SILENT SEA, under restraint until leaving the back stretch, moved up stoutly on the outside on the turn, but faltered badly. BLUE WREN quit. The others were outrun. Scratched 34136 Ko, 109. The latter, crowded back at the start, gradually bettered his position thereafter and finished strongly. GOGGLES had nice speed from the start, but tired in the final eighth. LAW SUIT dwelt slightly at the break, lacked speed to enter early contention, but Finished stoutly. LIPTON had good early speed, but quit. MISS GORMLEY turned in an even performance. The latter, reserved from the pace set by SASS, took command from the latter on the final turn, continued gamely thereafter, but could not withstand the bid of the winner. SASS went out to set the early pace, saved ground throughout, but tired. TIMON, slow as usual in the early stages, closed a good gap.
