I RIVER DOWNS TURF NOTES s $ W. J. Sprow, who has several horses here in charge of Kirby Ramsey, came down from his home at Sandusky, Ohio, for the inaugural. The first issue, of the books for the Arlington Downs meeting are being distributed by Charles A. Kenney. The Arlington Downs meeting, which begins Thursday, October 22, runs for thirty days. Dusty Dawn, which has played an important part in local racing and a stakes winner during the summer meeting at Latonia, tops the small stable of six Grover Noel has here for Miss" Louise Hickman and Baylor Hickman. Others in the string are Stjensund, Arabs Arrow, Tyr, Witch Wings and Inky. Walter Grater, who brought Marynell, Black Miss, Fair Cynthia, Doloway, Dick Star, Sicklebill, Prince Fred and Judge Kav-anagh from Detroit, received Jane Brush from the Long Run Farm of Sam T. Games. Kirby Ramsey has been engaged to train Double B. and Gypsy Princess for Jay Weil and Sandvato for Leo ODonnell. The Weil pair came from Lexington, and Sandvato accompanied the Ramsey string from Lincoln Fields. Ted Clark, which is training in fine style, "is among the seven head Charles A. Marone has here. The son of Chatterton is the property of Dr. C. N. Mooney, Toronto sportsman, who plans to visit here next week. Jockey Leslie Pichon arrived from New York and will ride free lance. The Powers camera, which was used at Detroit and Thistle Down, was given a trial Thursday morning and pronounced ready for duty. r
