AT POST 11 minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. SECOND GUESS forced the pace from the start and was placed under severe pressure in the stretch run and wore down MELODY MAID in the last strides. The latter was sent into command after the start, was rated along steadily while saving ground, was eased back at the stretch turn and came again under pressure. CROOKED LANE was kept close to the pace and on the outside of the leaders made a determined bid when called upon, but faltered at the finish. INA DEAR had no mishaps in the running. Start rood and slow. Won driving: second and third the same. VOLDEAR outran his field from the start, drew away into a short lead while saving ground, responded to urging in the stretch run and held CROMARTY safe. The latter raced in near pursuit of the pace from the start, was placed under pressure in the stretch and was gaining on the . winner at the finish. RITZ BROTHERS was close up from the start, came through on the inside entering the stretch and outlasted VICKSON in the final strides. The latter, fractious at the post, had no mishaps in the running. BLUE KING was in close quarters on the inside in the early running. RED ARIL had no mishaps. RICHARD THIRD was outrun. A,NNE G. broke well and. kept close to the pace from the start, was steered to the outside entering the stretch, disposed of LOTOFUS and . held SAXOPAL safe in the final drive. The latter was taken under restraint when outrun, improved his position steadily and closed with determination on the outside. LOTOFUS was rushed into command after the break, opened up a safe lead while saving ground and then quit under urging in the final eiehth. KINDRED SPIRIT worked his way up on the outside and closed steadily at the end. MINSTRELETTE dropped back after the break and had no mishaps. BUZZIN AROUND moved lip gamely on the inside after saving ground and was in close quarters on the inside. CARVER was outrun all the way. CLAMOROUS, rated forwardly all the way,-came to the outside reaching the stretch and finished with determination. BUTTER moved into contention with a rush shortly after the break, was in close quarters between the leaders nearing the stretch and came again when clear and finished well. LITTLE SLEEPER, a forward factor from the start, had no mishaps in the running. YET1VE showed a good effort all the way. THAT ONE dwelt slightly at the break. AUREATE was rushed into command after the break, was rated along steadily but bore in slightly in the final eighth and had SEPARATOR in close quarters at the final sixteenth. The latter was forced, down on the inside, was blocked and could not get to the front, although holding on gamely all the way. EMIR showed early speed on the outside, but faltered badly in the stretch run. IRONBOUND had no mishaps in the running. FALEEN was outrun from the start. JOAN D. had no excuses.
