OX THE GO, soing in her bejt form, was cleverly rated, lost considerable ground when forced wide entering the stretch, but closed with a rush to overhaul the leaders. MISS WARD, away fast and well up from the start, got through on the inside in the final quarter, took a slight lead and held on gamely, but could not withstand the winner. OLEPAL raced prominently throughout. LADY CHINIQUY displayed her usual burst of early speed, but tired badly in the final drive. MONTARIS was through early. FABULOUS made up some ground. CHEKA set the pace for. a half mile while under stout restraint, but faltered when put to a drive. KAI HARRI was forced back at the far turn, taken to the outside and made up ground rapidly in the stretch. MARIO acted badly at the gate and broke from outside the machine.
