DUFFERIN PARK TURF NOTES f hB - 4 Judge P. E. Callen, who perfected the head numbers worn by the various starters, has had numerous requests from associations in the United States for sets. He shipped two sets to Sportsmans Park for that meeting and they are in use in California at the Tanforan meeting. The numbers are a great help in the photograph finishes as they stand out in the pictures. Jockey T. Barker was suspended for the rest of the Dufferin Park meeting by starter Clark for failure to keep his mount straight leaving the gate in the third race Tuesday while astride Dowling. Mrs. F. Dryden purchased the plater Love Lyric from V. McGarrity at private terms. The customs department is anxious to locate the owner of Marys Choice, which was shipped into Toronto from Montreal and has not been taken off the car. Former jockey Roy Lowe, who rode at Dufferin Park nineteen years ago, arrived from Winnipeg and was a visitor at the course for Wednesdays racing. Noble Spirit, Nights End and Dark Robina have been added to starter Clarks outside list and in the future they will be started from the outside stall. F. H. Sproule, Daily Racing Form chart maker in Ohio, was a visitor at Dufferin Park.
