j f RIVER DOWNS TURF NOTES s 4 The third and final book of conditions for the River Downs meeting was distributed among horsemen Tuesday. Frank Carr, who has been a member of starter Wingfields ground crew, left for Arlington Downs, where he will hold a similar position under Roy Dickerson. C. D. McClellan was appointed patrol judge, to take the place of William Kelley, who succeeds Frank M. Otis as clerk of scales. Otis departed for Arlington Downs Tuesday night, where he will serve as patrol judge. Jockey Glen Fowler reported sick and was permitted to cancel his engagements. Jockey Porter Roberts motored to Lexington to ride at Keeneland Park Tuesday. L. Sierra, Cuban owner, arrived from Beulah Park with Hope Loring, Thunder Speed and My Last Honey, and F. Castro vanned Race Craft from the same point. Other arrivals from the Grove City track were A. Gardner with Kranella and R. Clark j with Baby Princess. E. Bougher checked in from Lincoln Fields with Harpen Belle.
