WHISKAWAY FINDS NEW HOME WITH DR. J. P. McDONAUGH Whiskaway, the chestnut horse, by Whisk Broom TL Inaugural, by Voter, bred and raised by Harry Payne Whitney and sold to Charles W. Clark, of Montana, for 25,000, passed under the block Thursday morning at Lexington for 25. This is the second time the winner of the first Kentucky Special has reached the auction block. In 1934, at the dispersal sale of the estate of G. V. Barries, he was brought in by Thomas B. Cromwell for ,500. His stock have been, a useful lot, and his new owner. Dr. J. P. McDonaugh, will probably not regret his purchase as the son of Whisk Broom II. is only seventeen years old and may have several years of usefulness still in him. Whiskaway won eight races and 7,671 and was considered one of the fastest horses of his time.
