FAIRLEAD WINS UNDER KING EDWARDS COLORS Special Cablegram. NEWMARKET, England, Oct. 22. Fair-lead, sporting the royal silks and racing in King Edwards name, scored a popular victory in the two miles H. W. F. A. Williams Handicap at Sandown Park yesterday. Court mourning for the late King George over, it was the first time a horse from the royal stable raced in King Edwards name and carried the royal livery, purple gold braided jacket, scarlet sleeves and black velvet cap with gold fringe. Heretofore, all the royal horses raced in the name of Lord Derby and carried his silks. Fairlead earned ,500 by her victory. She is a four-year-ola daughter of the St. Leger winner and successful sire. Fairway, from the defunct Seattle, a daughter of the Derby hero. Captain Cuttle, which won the late King George his only "classic" race, the 1928 One Thousand Guineas. I
