DONALD W. showed good speed from the start, but tired near the end. LADY BANNER was prominent in the early stages. MAGY MENIFEE showed improvement. BABUR was well up from the start and staged a game finish. LITTLE COED tired in the stretch. BURR HICKMAN was in close quarters on the inside approaching the stretch turn then came to the outside of RAINBEARER after rounding the turn to win narrowly in a hard drive. RAINBEARER had the most early speed and was hard ridden but could not spot the winner the difference in weight. WILD LOVE was a strong contender in the early stages but dropped back in the stretch. FULL TILT was close to the pace from the start and, taking command rounding the stretch turn, stood a hard drive gamely to best PRINCE TIDE. The latter came strongly in the middle of the track through the stretch and was gaining. CHIEF PILOT saved ground approaching the stretch turn to reach contention, but was caught between FULL TILT and PRINCE TIDE in the last eighth and was forced to take up, but finished well. DUCMISS dropped back in the stretch. GRANBURY was in close quarters while tiring on the stretch turn. Overweight Ducmiss, 1 pound; Granbury, 1. FIFTH RACE 1 MILE AND 70 YARDS. GOODNIGHT moved up strongly after entering the stretch to catch -SILVERY CLOUD and, racing on practically even terms with the latter all through the final eighth, won narrowly. SILVERY CLOUD followed BARBARA A. under excellent rating to the stretch, then went to the front of the latter and, going gamely to the finish, barely missed. BARBARA A. had the most early speed but tired in the stretch. JOHNNIE NUCHOLS made a strong move on the inside nearing the last turn, then faded. RUSH PLAY was taken up when in close quarters soon after the start and was never dangerous thereafter. BOON TIME seemed to be outclassed. Overweight Barbara, A., 1 pound.
