MARBLE BOY, sent up with a rush on. the inside, raced MY EMPRESS into the ground and, drawing away in the stretch, won handily. MY EMPRESS broke fast, was; sent into the lead from the start, held on more gamely than usual and. easily held the others safe. ROLL HOME broke well, lacked early speed, came to the outside in the stretch and closed well. ROBERTSON dropped Tsack on the lower turn, came on again in the stretch and was going well at the end. PRINCE WESTEND, outrun early, saved ground entering the stretch, got through on the inside of GRIDDLE CAKE approaching the finish and got up to win in the final stride. GRIDDLE CAKE worked his way up gradually, took the lead entering the stretch, drew clear, but tired suddenly at the end. SAYLOMA, far back early, finished steadily in the final quarter mile and was going well at the end. VONNIE showed early speed but tired. SALVE quit. TEXAS MOON broke slowly. BLUE BUD, showing a liking for the going, closed with a rush in the stretch, wore down the leaders and was going away at the end. TITLE OAK, well placed in the early running, moved up on the outside entering the stretch, held on gamely in the drive, but was not good enough. MODESTO broke fast from outside the stalls, drew clear of the Field on the lower turn, but tired in the closing eighth. MAYOR HOL-COMBE saved ground, entering the stretch but tired badly nearing the end. MISS BERWYN showed brief early speed. HER HERO was in close quarters shortly after the start and fell. KING TODAY, away well, moved up gamely after going a half mile, but tired in the last eighth. INDIAN LORE was outrun. BLONDSURE quit. MULLET was outrun. FRUMPER was alwayi far back.
