SUN MICA followed the pace under slight restraint for about a half mile, gave way momentarily in the stretch, but came again under strong riding to dispose of FESTOON arid then outfinish NIGHT BANDIT The latter, outrun for a half mile, was taken to the outside in the final quarter, where he- responded well to urgmg and hung slightly jn the last twenty yards. FESTOON set the pace under steadying restraint but tired in the final eighth. CHALK EYE moved up on the outside approaching - the turn and, after offering a brief challenge, tired. BOILING POINT, never a great distance back and in hand for about five-eighths, moved lip thereafter on. the outside and, finishing with good courage, was ready to draw out. SORCERY, outrun for five-eighths, came to the outside for the drive and finished boldly. TANKIE, also outrun but able to save ground, swung to the extreme outside in the final quarter and closed well under pressure, MAIDEN DREAM a factor from the start, tired in the final eighth. REPAID took command after a quarter without need of strong pressure, opened a big lead but tired badly in the final eighth. OFFENDER was through after a " s half mile. SILENT SHOT, taken in hand when outrun, began to improve his position on the turn, was taken to the outside in the stretch and after disposing of SUN ASIA, drew out steadily. SUN ASIA, under occasional pressure while holding the early lead, shook off OVER YONDER and MY ELSIE after about five-eighths and, though readily giving way to the winner, was easily best of the others. MY ELSIE forced the early pace on the inside, dropped back on the stretch turn, then held on fairly well. OVER YONDER tired after racing well up and on the outside for about five-eighths. SIR QUEST, a factor from the start, offered a mild challenge after about a half mile, and, although no match for the winner, easily held the others safe. BON CENTIME, outrun early; hung on fairly well. POMPA tired badly after displaying good speed for three-eighths. DETERMINED, placed on the outside of the gate for the start,-was outrun. The latter, away fast, made the early pace under steadying restraint, opened a good advantage when roused on the turn, then tired. YOUNG AGNES, well up for a half mile, dropped back going into the turn and finished with good courage when put to pressure.
