ANOTHER DEATH FROM FIRE Edward Duffy Third Victim of Ak-Sar-Ben Conflagration Norma Clark Wins Opening Race. OMAHA, Neb., June 10. Favorite players got away to a good start at Ak-Sar-Ben field this afternoon when Norma Clark was the. winner. The six-year-old which had been backed to odds-on, stepped to the front at once and was never headed. She paid .40 and was ridden by E. DePrang. The human death toll in the disastrous Ak-Sar-Ben fire mounted Wednesday when Edward Duffy, 62-year-old stable hand, died of burns in an Omaha hospital. Duffys death brings the list of dead to three. .Edward Kelly and Tex Locklear were the other two that died. Thirty-six thoroughbreds and forty saddle horses died in the fire. Two more jockeys arrived at Ak-Sar-Ben Thursday when Ned Merritt and A. LaTurco checked in. LaTurco, who can scale 100 pounds, will ride for Glenn Gorbet, while Merritt will ride free lance. Allan Gray is leading the jockey race at present, -while Eddie DePrang is in second place.
