I LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES s Trainer G. McCann, of the H. S. Wilson and R. H. New Stables, reports that at the conclusion of the Long Branch meeting he is resigning as trainer and will return to the riding ranks at the Blue Bonnets meeting. McCann rode on the flat and through the field with good success two years ago. Jockey C. Critchfield motored to Long Branch to ride the Bain representative on todays program and will leave immediately following the final event and return to the main division at Detroit. Jockey H. Chinn was suspended for three days for cutting over sharply at the first turn while astride J. B. Millers Army Game in the sixth race on Friday. In compliance with the announcement that the association would add to the total purse distribution of -the extra events if the original races failed to fill, racing secretary P. C. Galliger added 5-100 to the third, fifth and sixth events to be run on Monday. The stable of H. C. Hatch will leave Sunday for Winnipeg. Trainer Jack Hamilton will be in charge of the string and Stirling Young will go to take care of the saddle duties. The stable of J. B. Miller will depart for Montreal Sunday morning. The shipment includes Syntomy, Royal Broom, Army Game, Rebecca Lee, Goldfin and Kissinbug. H. Chinn, under contract to trainer Savage, accompanies the shipment and will do the riding during the Quebec season. Trainer J. Hamilton of the H. C. Hatch Stable was granted permission to add blinkers to the equipment of Goster. Trainer M. Fishman was also granted the privilege to race Queens Color in blinkers. G. W. Brown claimed Mill Pond out of the fourth race at Long Branch on Friday for ,000. W. D. Reddy purchased the three-year-old home-bred Worthmore gelding, Daily Dozen, from the E. R. Bain Stable and shipped him to Montreal. Quatra Bras, Achena, Star Beam and Nil-rebo were added to the outside list, which now numbers twenty-nine.
