BOB BRUCE, under restraint for the First half mile, worked his way up between horses, drew away into a long lead when straightened out in the stretch, but was tiring badly at the end. BILL ROCK, well placed in the early running, bore out on the lower turn, came on again in the stretch and was wearing the winner down. STAR BONNY, far back early, gained steadily in the last quarter mile and finished gamely. OFF SIDE was on the inside in the deepest going and tired badly. SISTER ESTHER also tired. TEXAS MOON, taken back off the pace, responded gamely when urged, came to the outside in tha stretch, wore down THISTLE KAY and easily held STRATAGEM safe. The latter, well placed in the early running, finished gamely. THISTLE KAY took the lead at the first turn, drew away on the back stretch, but tired badly in the closing eighth.
