t CHARLES TOWN TURF NOTES f s - The following horses joined the stable of E. B. Shipp: Bunty Ann, Porter Call, Lovely Amelia, Barcardi .Firth, Oddesa Beau, Joe Jay and Agreeable. J. R. Hill, who won a gold watch for being the leading winning rider at Beulah Park, Ohio, is due to join the local riding colony Monday.. Hill is under contract to E. B. Shipp, who brought in fourteen horses, including; Irenes Bob from Beulah Park. Irenes7 Bob holds the five and one-half furlong, track record of 1:05 at the Fair Grounds, New Orleans. Jesse Burks was an arrival from Detroit with Zipalong, Tiger Tom, Camp Parole and Chessie. Tommy Fowler packed his lack and departed for Montreal, where he will ride during that meeting. King Frederick and Oteebee are the latest additions to starter Palmers schooling list. Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Falconer, whose "horses are racing here, stopped off en route : from Charlottesville, Va., to Pittsburgh, Pa., , where they will attend the wedding of Henry Flippen, noted Virginia athlete. The Falconer horses will later be shipped to Be-lair, Md., for the ten days racing beginning July 28. Eddie Brennan, race secretary of the Be-lair, Cumberland and Marlboro meetings in Maryland, wires from Agawam, Mass., that he is accepting stall applications for his meetings. Cumberlands ten-day session opens August 10. It will be followed by ten days racing at Marlboro. Stall applications should be sent to Brennan, care Pimlico race track, Baltimore, Md. !
