AUNT FLOR was hustled into the lead at once, withstood repeated bids from BIG FISH in the first half mile then closing gamely under pressure, outfinished LISTARO. The latter, on the outside throughout, came gamely on the outside in the drive and was gradually overtaking the leader at the end. BIG FISH forced the pace from the start, then faltered in the final strides. JAKE BLIEDEN, well placed throughout, had no excuses. CRINOLINE could never threaten. The others were outrun. LINGSTER, shuffled back soon after the start, was rated along in close attendance of the pace the first half mile, came with a rush between the leaders in the stretch and was up in the final strides. FORE ISUS, slow to settle in his best stride, came with a rush on the outside through the stretch and outfinished DALMAC. The latter was hustled into the lead with a rush after the first half mile, then faltered badly through the final eighth. NOISETTE went evenly. SLIM SALOME quit badly. TRICKY LADY had early speed. YOUNG JOHN worked his way forward near the inner rail the first half mile, moved into command leaving the half-mile post, drew clear entering the stretch, and was going away at the end. BILL KENNEDY, in close quarters all through the back stretch and repeatedly taken back, swung to the outside for the drive, closed with a rush and outfinished MARGIE LOU. The latter worked her way forward on the outside throughout, then came gamely through the closing drive. COME SEVEN was sent into contention on the outside in the run through the back stretch, then went evenly. MRS. FOSTER, away slowly, closed with a rush through the final quarter mile. CREME DE MENTHE quit badly after displaying early foot. CHISEL tired badly. HIGH BID quit badly. STORMBLOWN, slow to settle in his best stride, came with a rush through the final three-eighths, but was unable to reach the winners. ARTISTSCOPE worked its way fort ward on the outside the first three-quarters, then went .evenly and outfinished WORTH TRYING. Tha latter went evenly. KARAME quit after three-quarters. COTTER went wide at the first turn when racing forwardly and ran out again on the lower turn. PRIMBUD quit after forcing the early pace. Overweight Cotter, 3 pounds. Continued on twentysecond page.
