PORTER CALL DESTROYED CHARLES TOWN, W. Va., June 12. Miss M. Hodges Porter Call, favorite in todays opener, dropped jockey Francis Polk while at the barrier. The gelding ran off and fell over the fence at the paddock turn, later ducking into the clubhouse enclosure. He suffered injuries which necessitated his being destroyed.
