Suffolk enters upon the final week of its spring session, with a total of over ,000,000 having passed through the "tote" machines, and the average daily betting around 00,000. It is probable that the average will be maintained throughout the final days of the session, and if it is, the meeting will show a very neat profit, although it was. off to . somewhat slow start. The Decoration Day sport has marked the high point of the meeting to date. Four stake events will be decided during the final six days of the meeting, two of them carrying an added value of ,000. On Wednesday, the Commonwealth Handicap, six furlongs sprint for three-year-olds, with an added value of ,500, is on the card. Bunker Hill Day, a holiday in these parts, comes on Thursday.
