: , DETROIT TURF NOTES I s The third issue of the condition books for the Detroit spring season were distributed among the horsemen Saturday. W. G. Kelley, paddock judge, who also has charge of the jockeys quarters, had his valets dressed in natty polo shirts for the half-holiday program. Kelley will serve as paddock judge at Thistle Down with the veteran Charles Wilson, who has fully recovered from a broken leg sustained during the River Downs meeting last fall. Jockey H. W. Fisher severed his connections with the Jack Carter stable and will ride free lance. Trainer Clyde Van Dusen received the three-year-old High Sonny from Dixiana Farm. Jockey C. Critchfield left for Long Branch to ride one of the H. R. Bain representatives in the Long Branch Handicap. He returns here in time to accept mounts Monday. Lady Gayheart and Rebel Flag, which Johnny Zoeller had here for D. B. Midkiff, were sent to their owners farm. Dave Boyle has been engaged to train Secured and Clientelle for D. H. Arbuthnot. F. B. Koontz arrived .from Beulah Park with Surprise Box, Animosity, Mountkala, Good Exchange and Fake Charge. In the san - car B. P. Tice brought The Potter, Bee Line and Houstonian. Jockey Tyrus Meloche, who received a leg injury when San Lu ran into the fence while filling his engagement in the seventh race Thursday, will resume riding Monday. Due to his misbehavior, the stewards ordered the future entry of Lucky Foot barred. The horse tossed jockey Frank Grill into the center field when he bolted shortly after the start of the seventh race Friday.
