The horses that are owned by C. D. Zimmerman and trained by H. J. Norris, are en route from Santa Anita, where they have been resting up, while five horses belonging to C. E. Davison recently checked in from Washington Park, Chicago. The Hiawatha Stable got in from Beulah Park with a useful string, while additional animals will be sent from the Columbus track following its close Saturday. A high wind was blowing at Ak-Sar-Ben field Saturday afternoon, but despite the gale the weather was the warmest of the meeting to date. The track was fast.
